Abstract:
The document communicates the new features and enhancements made in release 7.0 on 5th of April 2011.

7.0 Upgrade Features:
The features incorporated into EIKASP for 7.0 Upgrade are:

Distinct Validation for Online and PMS:

The enhanced feature in Credit card Validation is Distinct Credit Card Validation for PMS and Online Booking. Currently when we set the Online Credit card – ‘Validation Required’ it controls the PMS System. To set the control for Online Booking also Distinct Credit card validation is engaged for both PMS and Online-Booking.

CC Tran ID for Billing

To ascertain the Payment made ‘CC Tran ID’ field has been included in Billing.
When the Credit Card validation in “Property Rates” screen is set to “Validation Required” then CC Tran ID field which is editable appears in Billing.

Wider Credit Card Acceptance:

Besides the cards predominantly used, Credit Card validation for Online Booking has been designed to accept wider range of cards with maximum 21 digits. With this enhancement many countries can use this product.

Universal Date Format – Online Booking:

Date designation such as mm/dd/yyyy is ambiguous. In Online Booking to solve this problem the date notification is enhanced to Universal format by month in name and not in digits e.g. Apr-05-2011. The advantage of this format is date and month can be easily distinguished.

The Date Picker object is equipped to control the values that can be entered. The values can be selected through the control only.

Week day display in Online Confirmation Mail:

To provide additional information about the dates the feature included is displaying the day of the week. This feature is incorporated in Confirmation mail from the Online Booking.

For example,
Arrival Date: Sunday, Apr-15-2012
Departure Date: Tuesday, Apr-17-2012

ONLINE CONFIRMATION MAIL SCREEN:

Auto Email:
Auto Email is a new feature that sends out replies and e-mails to potential and existing customers on a time frame. This feature can send follow-up mail in some time factor and so on. This helps in saving time spent on drafting and sending emails to multiple guests and also allow maintaining uniformity to communicate.
Auto Email feature is an automated program which sends the mails in specific time schedule against sending date options.
The time schedule for Auto emails is done in Global settings. A List of 7 mails is Pre-Defined which cannot be modified or deleted. But can add new custom mails that can be modify and delete.

Pre-Defined Mails:

• Confirmation Mail
• Thank You Mail
• Pre-Check In Mail
• Birthday Mail
• Anniversary Mail
• News Letter Mail
• Online Confirmation Mail

The mails which have to be sent are selected by checking the checkbox. The Letter has to be picked up from the options under Email Letter. The number of days for sending the mail should be entered in the textbox of Days field. The Send date options have to be selected from the drop down.
Mails can be personalized in addition to the pre-defined mails. New personalize mails can be added, modified and deleted.
When the add button is clicked the option for entering new mail name appears. The save image appears at the right side to save the custom mails. Cancel image also appears to cancel the custom mails if not needed.
After adding the custom mails the edit / cancel image appears at the right image for modifying the mail name. Validation is done for the name of the mail to be unique.
Automatically thank the guest for staying. Can send Birthday and Anniversary wishes to surprise the Guest etc.

The Quick Reservation, Full Reservation, Monthly Reservation, Package booking screens has the checkbox option for Auto Email. Based on the guest permission the auto email option can be checked for sending the automated mails on the scheduled date.
Online confirmation Mail works for online booking. This mail will be send instantly after booking in Online. If this option is not set in the settings the regular online confirmation mail will be sent to the guest.

The discussed enhancements are incorporated to EIKASP to have attractive booking features and make the customer easy-to-use and to increase reservations.
